Before joining GFW, Maria worked in a variety of marketing roles from category management to sales and marketing research. Maria holds a Masters in Business Administration from SUNY Albany and an undergraduate in Business with a concentration in Marketing from LeMoyne College. Memorial Day

flags are placed in front of graves to honor fallen soldiers who will be remembered on Memorial Day May 31, 2004.

Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day and although there are many conflicting stories on it’s beginnings, most of them agree that it began as a day set aside to honor the soldiers who had fallen in service during the civil war.  Dates and specific groups of soldiers are what separates many of the stories…. continue

A final tally is in! In 2012 Gettysburg Flag Works received 2787 flags for the Stars for our Troops program. Of those flags 1676 were of a usable size which works out to 60% of the flags. With the usable flags we were then able to make 83,800 pouched stars to thank that many soldiers or veterans!… continue
