This bright red and yellow flag is representative of the Historic Byzantine, or Eastern Roman Empire. This uniquely shaped flag is reminiscent of medieval style flags from similar eras in history. While there was no one "official" flag of the Byzantines, this design dates from the later years of the empire under the Palaiologos Dynasty and is popularly used to represent the Eastern Roman Empire. It features a two sided- double rolled edge sewing technique to maintain the perfect rounding at the fly end and is proudly made by our team here at Gettysburg.
