Call us crazy, but we think American flags should be made in America – which is why every American flag that is sold and shipped by Gettysburg Flag Works is manufactured right here in the USA. We are proud members of the Flag Manufacturers Association of America which certifies companies as selling only USA sourced and manufactured American Flags. In fact, whenever possible, we try to sell only products that are made in the USA. In those instances when we cannot find a manufacturer in the US, we make sure to offer only the highest quality, best products from reputable manufacturers.

From the red, white and blue to custom flags inspired by you, we are committed to using only the finest materials and 100% honest, American-made craftsmanship. The result is much higher-quality flag products than you’ll find in the big box stores, and an industry-wide reputation for being truly Battle Tough® .
Transparency with country of origin in our supply chain is very important to us. We indicate on each item page whether the item is Made in USA or Imported. Additional details on where some of our items come from:
- Our flag fabric comes from mills in New Jersey and Florida.
- Our flag grommets are made in Florida, New York & New Jersey.
- Our thread comes from North Carolina.
- Our flagpoles are manufactured in Virginia, Texas, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
- Much of our cast aluminum and bronze hardware comes from foundries in Pennsylvania & Ohio.
- Some other flagpole hardware comes from Texas and Virginia.
- Some flags that we can’t/don’t make are contracted from leading textile manufacturers located in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Wisconsin and South Carolina.
- Some plastic products are manufactured in Ohio and New Hampshire.
We don't make 100% of what we sell - yet - but we are always working on moving production to domestic suppliers at every opportunity.
American Labor
We support American labor making our products. Gettysburg Flag has more than 20 direct employees and we work with other American based manufacturers to make items for us on contract. Every dollar spent on American made products stays in country, supporting American workers and their families. When you purchase American made from Gettysburg Flag, not only do you get an awesome flag, you help strengthen our country, our economy and our people. While imported goods are more common these days, we fully support re-shoring as much manufacturing (not just flags) as possible as it helps keep us a vibrant, self-reliant and prosperous nation. Do you pay more up front? Probably. Do you get a better product? Almost always.
Custom Craftsmanship
When it comes to custom flags, our designers and seamstresses are the best in the industry, and we are often called upon to do custom work that other flag companies simply can’t do. We offer screen printing, digital printing and embroidery, as well as detailed applique work, a unique process which combines hand-stitching and user-operated sewing machines to bring your design to life.

Every member of the Gettysburg team is dedicated to providing you with superior service and a personal touch. In fact, it’s not unusual to find a handwritten note in your shipment, or to speak with a real, live person when you give us a call. The All-American Flag Act
The All-American Flag act was recently signed into law through an act of Congress. This bi-partisan law requires that 100% of American Flags purchased by the Federal Government must be completely manufactured in America. While we at Gettysburg Flag believe that this is a common sense law to have on the books and reinforces what should already be the norm, it changes nothing in our business model.
Our American flags (and nearly ALL of our flags) have always been manufactured entirely here at home. Our company has always championed American Manufacturing and American Labor as a spark plug of economic vitality and well-being for all Americans. Not just in flags - in all industries, the more manufacturing done domestically the better. It allows for well paying jobs for Americans, maintains important industrial skill sets and lessens our dependence on foreign supply chains which can be easily disrupted in times of strife.
For us, it’s business as usual - this is how we have always done it and always will. Period.
