A historic Massachusetts flag, the Endicott flag (sometimes spelled Endecott) was a strict and direct sign of the independence movement. Named after John Endicott, notorious for defacing the English flag, this variant design is likely not historically accurate, but is shown as an example of the flag in historical flag literature. This version of the Endicott Flag is referenced graphically on page 339 of the 1917 book "Flags of the World". Published by National Geographic Press and written by Byron McCandless & Gilbert Grosvenor, this edition highlights a number of early American flag designs. Later historians have come to criticize and question the accuracy of some designs.

Hi Folks - I've bought a number of flags from you and most of the time, you have been good with the accuracy of the flags. I looked at the Endicott Flag on your website and I don't know if the red cross and blue dot represent the original Flag, which supposendly was was red with a blank white canton. Do you know where your design came from? I thought I would ask before purchasing it. Thanks
