Fiberglass Pole Size Recommendations
Choose from our 5-foot, 6-foot and 8-foot flagpole in a white or black finish. All of our fiberglass flagpoles also include a coordinating ball finial.
- 2x3’ or 2.5x4' - A smaller flag size usually used on our smaller 5' flag poles.
- 3x5’ - The most common flag size. Used on 6' or 8' house-mounted poles or in-ground poles up to 20' tall.
- 4x6’ - Capable of flying on larger flagpoles like the 8' option you have here. Also, it is traditionally used on 25' tall in-ground flagpoles.
- Pole sleeve and tab attachment capability - Usually best for house mounted poles that do not have grommet attachment capabilities. Also used on indoor flag poles where a pole sleeve is necessary.
- Header and Grommet attachment capability - This is the most popular way to attach a flag and is used on house mounted poles and in-ground flag poles. Generally made of brass and connected via snap clip or plastic grommet rings like our rotating spinning pole.

Do you make an eagle instead of the ball for this pole?
Unfortunately no eagles are available to fit this pole, which requires a 1" Inside diameter "slip fit" finial.

Ive had this pole for a while and the bottom of the pole is starting to splinter a bit, is there anything you can do for me?
The one drawback with fiberglass is that while its great in the wind it performs poorly with impact. Often times the bottom of the pole will wear over time as it rubs against the set screw in your flagpole bracket. This is somewhat normal. You can trim the damaged few inches with a hacksaw and be good as new. If you want to avoid having this happen we recommend buffering the area where the set screw meets the pole with a layer of electrical tape to help cushion the pole from the gradual impact. This will help stop, or at least delay, the issue from re-occurring.

Is this a solid fiberglass pole?
This pole is cast fiberglass over a honeycomb interior so while its not a completely solid fiberglass rod, it is very strong and will handle windy locations well.

- Best FlagpoleI live in a windy area and this pole replaced a aluminum pole that snapped after 6 months due to a wind storm. This pole went through a similar storm with out a problem.

- Did not break or fly awayI just bought one of your fiberglass flag poles and it was delivered last week. The good news is it withstood 100 mile per hour derecho windstorm in Iowa. My husband was truly amazed that the flagpole didn't break or fly away.

- Very pleasedI’m very pleased with the quality and durability of the 6’ flagpole. We live in Kodiak, AK and it’s currently weathering a snow storm with high winds. I have no doubt that the fiberglass flagpole will withstand the elements better than the wood one it replaced. Plus, it’s made in the USA.

- Excellent Flag StaffThis staff is far superior to the aluminum ones generally available. It is strong and flexible to withstand the elements. I highly recommend. The finial is not great but OK. I painted mine black to match the staff. Painting it gold would also be an improvement.

- Beautiful, strong and an unusual IDEAL Length!I have been across the last 26 years been trying to "adjust" the flag mounted on the front of our home. It is mounted in brick, and either if its the bracket, pole or no wind feature, there's alway a problem. Recently we installed new larger gutters, and my 3 X 5 flag would invariably get caught in the gutters. I figured this 8ft 1 piece pole would move it far enough and high enough to keep it out of catching on the gutter. It works! Beautiful pole, I am so proud and excited. Excellent packaging for shipping and it appears to be excellent reinforced fiberglass. I am so thankful to Gettysburg Flag Works for providing such a beautiful pole for our home!

- Solid polesWe bought two of these per recommendation for our high wind area. But was thinking, how is fiberglass stronger than metal?
So far it is. Some of our early Fall storms have had 40mph winds and rain from hurricane remnants.
And they included instructions on how to properly use the NeverFurl mounts and have not had a tangle since! Mush better than every other flag pole seller that never communicated how to use their no-tangle mounts.

- The best fiberglass flag pole that I could find for durability and priceI have brought two eight (8’) fiberglass flag poles with all the hardware that keep the flags waving in the wind at my beach house. If I ever need to replace one (I don’t think I will) I would buy the exact same type that I have now with the same hardware that I have been using. They are the best.
