A flag to insult, embarrass and challenge your enemies. Originally carried by the horse regiment under Sir Horatio Cary's Royalist command during the English Civil War as a taunt to their adversary, the Earl of Essex. Apparently insult culture is at least 400 years old.

Originally carried by Horatio Cary’s Royalist military unit during the English Civil War in the 1600s, the Come Out You Cuckold flag can be identified by its distinctive red and gold colors, and particularly by the image of a small animal (perhaps a fox or a dog) in a barrel alongside the words “Come Out You Cuckold.” The flag was originally crafted to taunt and make fun of the Earl of Essex, a general in the Parliamentarian army who had earned a reputation as a cuckold due to his marital problems.
The Horatio Cary Cuckold Flag Today
While the Come Out You Cuckold flag originated more nearly 400 years ago, it can still be seen today. It's made rounds on the internet and can be found here and there in its physical form as well. It's often displayed as a way of insulting or challenging one’s rivals.
