The Michigan State Police, commonly referred to as MSP, was founded in 1917. The MSP grave marker is based upon the uniform patch and features the seal of the State of Michigan flag. The flag design was adopted in 1911. Much of the writing on the seal is in Latin. "Tuebor” translates to "I will defend". The bottom text ribbon features the state motto, also in Latin, and translates to "If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you.”
These markers honor the long and outstanding tradition of duty of the Michigan State Police, with fine cast detail and quality finishes, and are 100% made in the USA. They accommodate a stick flag dowel on the back of the marker with a stick diameter of up to 3/8”, and are suitable for use as a grave marker or as a symbol of service in the home garden.
This grave marker has made a memorable & welcome addition to my late husband's grave. He served in the MSP from 1960 - 1985.

Annually the Michigan State Police places State of Michigan flags at all of our deceased members grave sites. The creation of this grave marker allows for a professional and long term means of honoring our deceased troopers. Excellent job, appreciate the fine work in helping us create it!
