U.S. Space Force Flags

The official U.S. Space Force Flag was unveiled on May 15, 2020 and is the first new U.S. service flag to be released in more than 70 years. It represents the Space Force branch of the U.S. military, a new division of the Air Force that will conduct space operations and protect the interests of the United States in space.

U.S. Space Force Flag Design

The unique and symbolic U.S. Space Force flag design features the delta symbol, a globe with an elliptical orbit, and stars. The words “United States Space Force” and the Roman numerals MMXIX representing the year 2019 appear in white lettering below the Space Force seal on the flag. The dark blue background represents the vast recesses of outer space.

In addition to the official U.S. Space Force Flag, we also carry indoor U.S. Space Force flags that feature the U.S. Space Force Flag seal on a white background. Note that these are not the official flag, but instead a variation.

U.S. Space Command Flags

The U.S. Space Command is an agency of the Department of Defense that was re-established on August 29, 2019. (It was originally established in 1985, but was inactivated in 2002.) This agency oversees military operations in outer space. The U.S. Space Command Flag was updated upon the agency’s reestablishment.

U.S. Space Command Flag Design

The new version of the flag features the U.S. Space Command seal - including an eagle with a shield holding an olive branch in one talon and 13 arrows in the other, a globe with an elliptical orbit, stars representing the U.S. military branches and the North Star - on a white background. It is notably similar to the original from 1985, though has been modified to be a bit more sleek and modern.
